Tech UP is a great opportunity for anyone interested in bridging technology and defence. During my internship, I had supportive colleagues and mentors who helped me grow both my technical and soft skills, and I got to know other interns from a range of backgrounds during the programme. Being exposed to a variety of ongoing projects also gave me a broader understanding of the defence industry.

Through Tech UP, I gained useful insights from industry professionals and had the opportunity to attend courses alongside DSTA engineers. Combining this with a hands-on internship gave me a better appreciation of Singapore's defence technology ecosystem, and a clearer sense of the kind of engineer I hoped to become. Today, I'm proud to be part of DSTA full-time, continuing that journey.

Joining Tech UP has provided me the opportunity to learn from experienced and approachable engineers during my internship. I especially appreciate the curated tech courses and exclusive events, which also connected me with like-minded peers. I recommend Tech UP to juniors looking to gain hands-on experience and widen their network beyond the classroom.

From the tech courses I attended, I learned directly from DSTA engineers and got to meet peers from different schools along the way. I got to learn how engineering concepts apply in the real world. It also opened the door to my internship with DSTA, where I continue to gain hands-on experience. I recommend Tech UP to anyone curious about Singapore's defence technology landscape.

One of the highlights of Tech UP was visiting the Singapore Airshow, where seeing our military capabilities up close deepened my interest in Singapore's defence sector. My mentor helped bridge theory with practical application, and working alongside fellow interns gave me a broader perspective of DSTA's work, along with friendships that lasted beyond the programme. These memorable experiences eventually led me to join DSTA full-time.

Tech UP is a rewarding programme for anyone interested to explore new developments in the engineering and defence tech space. During my internship, I was exposed to a variety of projects. There was also a lot of knowledge sharing conducted between the interns and with my mentor, which was a valuable experience to get a glimpse of the projects that everyone was working on.
