Wee Chang Han, a DSTA Merit Scholarship recipient who is currently pursuing a degree in Computer Engineering at Nanyang Technological University explained how his internship at DSTA’s Simulation & Training Systems Hub Programme Centre provided many opportunities to sharpen his technical skills in an innovative environment, affirming his decision to take up this scholarship. He was involved in a project related to Augmented Virtuality and Machine Learning.
“During my internship, I was involved in building a Virtual Reality simulation to improve one of RSN’s training programme. I had many learning opportunities, from being exposed to various technology, such as virtual reality and augmented reality, to working alongside other DSTA engineers. This allowed me to cultivate my competencies. Overall, I had a fruitful internship experience,” he said.
