DSTA celebrated our silver jubilee with a commemorative dinner on 19 September 2025. It was an evening recognising DSTA’s continued commitment to building Singapore’s tech capabilities over the past quarter of a century and more.
Senior Minister Lee Hsien Loong was our Guest-of-Honour for the occasion, and also in attendance were Minister for Defence Chan Chun Sing, former Defence Minister Ng Eng Hen, DSTA’s pioneers, senior leaders, and partners from the government and industry.
It was a memorable evening looking back at our roots from 1966, formation in 2000, and journey till today. We recounted our achievements and milestones, and highlighted the capabilities and innovations we have developed to push the frontiers in defence tech and beyond.

SM Lee was invited to view a special showcase that shared DSTA’s journey over the years and provided a snapshot on its key achievements, as well as a demo that highlighted DSTA’s robotics and autonomy initiatives.
SM Lee thanked the pioneers and present-day DSTA officers for their contributions to Singapore.
CE DSTA Ng Chad-Son recognised the generations of DSTA leaders and officers for their years of service, and for their commitment, passion, and resilience in advancing DSTA’s mission.
It was a memorable occasion celebrating DSTA’s people and our spirit of innovation, excellence and collaboration.
DSTA’s very own staff pulled off a dazzling showcase of music, dance, and technology which brought our strength in integration to life.
