Some of our nation’s most important work happens quietly, behind closed doors. But what does it actually look like to work in defence technology? During this year’s Family Experience @ DSTA, our loved ones got a rare glimpse of what goes on behind the scenes.
Families explored interactive showcases which offered an eye-opening look at the breadth of exciting technologies our engineers are working on – from troubleshooting critical systems and piloting drones to tracking threats and exploring immersive simulations.
A key highlight was also the self-guided tour of the DSTA Experience Centre, where interactive displays across land, naval, air and digital domains showcased the breadth of our work and push for innovation.
Beyond the fun and excitement, it was a chance to spark curiosity in young minds, offer a glimpse into the problem-solving that drive our everyday work, and create lasting family memories.
