Two DSTA teams received awards for their groundbreaking projects. The first team, from Land Systems Programme Centre and Procurement Programme Centre, developed a "Robotics as a Service (RaaS)" concept to enable DSTA and the SAF to be agile in adopting the latest robotics technologies in the market. This enabled the team to fast-track multiple robotics experiments with the SAF and expedited the exploration of various robotics technologies for different operation concepts. The team’s innovative approach earned them the PST Agility Award.
Another team from Land Systems Programme Centre and C3 Development received the PST Exemplary Innovation Award for developing the Low-Cost Unmanned Sense-Strike Technology (LOCUST). The team adapted drone lightshow technology to enable a single soldier to control up to 200 drones. They also conducted their own R&D and integrated commercial technologies into DSTA’s in-house developed Robotics C3 systems to deliver a cohesive sense-strike capability for the Army, thereby enhancing the Army’s capability.
In addition to these awards, DSTA engineers also supported other notable projects, including the Inter-Agency Dengue Task Force led by the National Environment Agency (NEA), which won the One Public Service Award. Another project, the Review & Implementation of Revised Obstacle Limitation Services led by the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore (CAAS), received the Regulatory Excellence Award.
Congratulations to all our winners!
