Over 1,000 staff and guests came together on 11 January 2019 for a night of fun and bonding at DSTA’s gala dinner!
Themed ‘DSTA SuperHeroes Assemble’, the event was a gathering of staff and guests as their favourite superheroes, ranging from Superman and Wonder Woman to characters from Street Fighters and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.
Welcoming the guests, Chief Executive Tan Peng Yam expressed gratitude to the board members for their guidance over the past year, and thanked staff for their contributions to both the organisation and the nation. He also highlighted the presence of everyday superheroes among us, who are heroes in their own ways by taking part in voluntary work or by taking active roles in nurturing the next generation of defence engineers.
The night was also filled with a series of fun activities including stage performances put up by staff. Participants also competed for the title of the Best Dressed Male, Female and Table.
Memories of the night were also preserved in a 360-degree photo taken with everyone at the stage!
