• Be a Singapore Citizen (Singapore Permanent Residents are required to take up Singapore Citizenship upon accepting the scholarship)
  
• Have achieved excellent GCE A-level* or Polytechnic Diploma (merit) or equivalent qualifications, e.g. International Baccalaureate
• Have an exceptional record in co-curricular activities
• Have a burning passion for science and technology
  
• Be creative with an active and lively imagination

*Candidates must:

• Offer at least 11 A-Level results
  
• Achieve 'A' grading for at least 3 H2 content-based subjects (Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry & Biology), and a good grade in General Paper (GP) or Knowledge Inquiry (KI)
