Sponsorship/funding

1. My friends/co-workers are interested in participating in the TechX Challenge. However, we lack the funds to design and develop the Challenge Robot. How do I obtain sponsorship and what do my team have to give in return?
   
   The participating teams are encouraged to source for sponsorship on their own. All matters concerning sponsorship are solely between the team and the sponsor(s).
   
   
2. Can the teams be funded by their school and/or government (or government-linked) organisations?
   
   Yes. The teams can accept funding from their schools and/or government agencies as well as government-linked organisations.
   
   
3. Can DSO National Laboratories, Singapore Technologies Engineering and Temasek Laboratories of the two local universities sponsor the participating teams?
   
   The objective of the competition is to source for innovative ideas beyond our traditional defence ecosystem. These organisations are aware that they should not be involved in the competition. It is unlikely that these organisations will provide sponsorship when approached.
   
   
4. With reference to Clause 2.3 in the rules of the competition, I understand that MINDEF and DSTA will not provide funding to the participants. What does the funding include?
   
   Funding of any kind from MINDEF and/or DSTA entities is not permitted. It includes salaries, allowance, man hours, labour effort, facilities, equipment, and hardware.
