The inaugural International Conference on Advances in Network Sciences, held in Singapore from 29 June to 1 July 2005, provided some 150 technologists and researchers from the US and Pacific Rim nations with the opportunity to share their expertise and knowledge in the application of information technology, biotechnology and nanotechnology to network sciences. The conference also saw some 40 papers submitted, out of which 23 were presented.
The conference, jointly organised by DSTA and the United States Army Research Laboratory (ARL), aims to promote an exchange of new ideas and sharing of experiences in R&D work.
