Floating platform conceptualised by DSTA almost completed
DSTA, together with the Ministry of Defence, the Singapore Sports Council and the Urban Redevelopment Authority join hands to plan the construction of the world's biggest stage. DSTA came up with the concept of the floating platform and it is set to be completed at the end of this month.

DSTA customises military robotic systems for the modern battlefield
DSTA buys commercial robots with military applications and customises them to enhance their capabilities. One such example is the Portable Battlefield Robotic System which is a joint project between DSTA, DSO, the Army, and ST Kinetics. More than 95 per cent of the exhibition space at the first-ever Singapore Airshow, to be held from 19 to 24 Feb 2008, has been snapped up. The air show is organised by Singapore Airshow and Events - a joint venture between DSTA and CAAS.

DSTA plays a role in enhancing multi-agency coordination against maritime threats
As the programme manager, DSTA will be responsible for the design and development of the Command and Control systems at the Changi Command and Control Centre. The two-storey facility, which will be ready in 2009, will house three centres - the Singapore Maritime Security Centre, the Information Fusion Centre, and the Multinational Operations and Exercises Centre.

DSTA co-develops the Risk Assessment and Horizon Scanning (RAHS) system
DSTA, in collaboration with the National Security Coordination Secretariat and Centre of Excellence for National Security, organised the inaugural International Risk Assessment and Horizon Scanning (RAHS) Symposium. A working prototype of the RAHS system, demonstrated and co-developed by DSTA, was unveiled at the symposium. It was also announced that the RAHS Experimentation Centre, managed by DSTA, will be launched in August this year.
