13 Dec 2005 Singapore selects F-15 for its Next Fighter Replacement Programme

The F-15 was selected to replace the retired A-4SU Skyhawks. The F-15SG will be equipped with sophisticated avionics and weapon systems to enhance the operational capabilities of the RSAF. DSTA is the Programme Manager for the NFRP.

DSTA and its Sweden counterpart successfully conducted tests to study the use of water in mitigating the effects of a blast. These studies can potentially be used to minimise the amount of land around facilities that needs to be set aside as safety buffers.

24 Jan 2005 DSTA selects Sikorsky S70B Seahawk to operate from the frigates

DSTA has selected Sikorsky S70B Seahawk following a rigorous evaluation. The six naval helicopters, equipped with advanced anti-surface and anti-submarine warfare sensors and weapons, will operate off the six RSN's stealth frigates. The helicopters are expected to be delivered between 2008 and 2010.
